I was approached for money and gave some. My friend was very upset that I had done so. Several years earlier her daughter had been on the streets, addicted to drugs. She told me I was feeding that person's drug habit. I still don't know if she was right or wrong in her objection to me giving the person the money. But what it did show me is that two people can look at a situation and have two completely different ideas as to what is the right thing to do in those circumstances.kristieinbchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08620113214111945592noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971721308549315776.post-38270161576532184142013-04-07T02:35:14.159-07:002013-04-07T02:35:14.159-07:00That's different for me, too - he asked you fo...That's different for me, too - he asked you for things he needed and you got them for him, which was kind.Susiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05664454336482695288noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971721308549315776.post-86542142612404887802013-04-06T17:49:53.690-07:002013-04-06T17:49:53.690-07:00I was once approached as I was leaving a drug stor...I was once approached as I was leaving a drug store and asked if, instead of money, I would buy the man and his girlfriend things like deodorant, soap, toothpaste, etc. Normally I say no as politely as possible to those who ask for money, (in part because money has been tight for me, as well, much more so than my concern for where or what they'll spend it on), but this request, for things we take for granted every day, broke my heart. I turned around and went back in a got him everything he asked for. I don't know why this was different for me, but it was. I didn't include a bible though, because I don't really believe in it, but I also especially don't believe in pushing those sorts of things on people in any situation.gradschoolknitterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12835176150164480201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971721308549315776.post-24830186339060170662013-04-06T16:19:37.571-07:002013-04-06T16:19:37.571-07:00Will do, thanks Foggy ;-).

E.g. I can't imagine soap would be top of the useful list (where are you going to use it???) - but then I might be wrong.<br />Susiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05664454336482695288noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-971721308549315776.post-51937671878618617292013-04-06T15:58:41.879-07:002013-04-06T15:58:41.879-07:00P.S.
