This is one of those posts that's more interesting for me than for you, lovely readers, sorry! I blocked my Annis - managed to not felt it, not drop it down the plughole (I'm going to hold off on the rant about how much I hate our new plughole), not drop a stitch as I bound off, etc etc and now it is done! And when it is dry I can wear it!

OK, are you going to say to me that you don't save your oldest towels for blocking? |

I do appreciate this would look more attractive with better light. Try to imagine |
Ha ha! First proper lace, first nupps {brushes fingers on lapel}. The lace world is now my oyster and I shall celebrate with Cake.

It looks fantastic, I think you are most deserving of a lot of cake.
It looks REALLY lovely. Well done!
It looks gorgeous. And yes my oldest towels are used for squeezing out the water when blocking.
It is beautiful! But what is it? Do you wear it like a bib? Or the other way, like a shawl?
Either way, I love it and can only dream of being able to knit something like that!
Annis is lovely! And yes, I use our very worst towels for blocking. :-)
Very pretty. You should be proud of yourself.
I save our yucky towels for lots of things, yucky.
Oooo!! It's beautiful!! You definately deserve cake. :)
Well done - great success! Looking lovely too. The shawl world is now your oyster.
Not keen on blocking, no old towels (well, actually they are all old but I still use them) and no space bigger than 6 inches anywhere in the house. Nightmare! It can be magical though can't it?
Is it just me or were you quick knitting that up? It seems quick anyway.
Enjoy your cake!
Oh that is lovely - well done :-) My *old* towels are used for blocking; my *oldest* towels belong to the dog :-)
I disagree - I think blocking is totally interesting!
You made this soooo quickly!!
I personally use an old teenage mutant ninja turtle for blocking.
teenage mutant ninja turtle *towel* that is!
Kudos you did a great job -- you have entered the world of lace knitting. There is no going back!
Beeyootiful! :) lace is the bestest!
Oh it's gorgeous! Well done!
Well, thank you everyone. {Blushes}. I am going to have a crack at Jaali next (it might put me off lace forever, I don't know!).
Omlair, I read your first comment and was very confused. I thought, gosh, that's novel. Then I saw your second ;-).
Bonnie, haha, the million dollar question! You wear it like a very small shawl to cover your shoulders, or slung stylishly around your neck (I have a feeling wearing it convincingly is an artform in itself...).
