We have these all around us at the moment and it makes everywhere look so sad, especially when it's grey and raining like today. Thank you for joining my blog, I have done the same and look forward to reading your posts. I have got quite a few balls of wool, but the best I can do is to make some scarves, any other ideas for a real beginer?
That's a very interesting question - the longer answer is, I might do a blog post about it, the short answer is: do anything where gauge/ fit isn't critical (because I think those are the things that take experience). I would say dishcloths if you don't mind buying some cotton, otherwise cowls (these look fine just in stocking stitch and you can practice knitting with a circular needle), cushion covers (you can back them with fabric if you get bored), knit sampler squares and make a lap throw? (Off to go and think!).
Hello! Welcome to my blog about sewing, clothes, crochet, knitting, and generally trying to live in a crafty and conscious way. Generally you can assume if it stays still long enough I've tried to either French seam it or poke it with a crochet hook.
You can contact me by clicking on the email button below (or you could leave me a comment, I'd be very excited!)
